Cargo handling specialist snaps up new mobile crane

MONTROSE-based Whyte Cargo Handlers has splashed out on a new Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane.

The firm provides specialist lifting and cargo handling services and operates across a number of Scottish ports.

The newest addition to the fleet will be put to work on a range of cargos in the north-east of Scotland, including chain and anchor handling, pipe loading and discharge and offshore supply vessels.

Whyte Cargo Handlers specified the crane with the hydraulic high cab option, described as being particularly useful for cargo handling operations where increased visibility and safety are paramount.

The new LTM 1250-5.1 is also equipped for mobile grabbing operations including fertilisers, grain, animal feeds, salt and coal.

Whyte Cargo Handlers MD John Mullen said, “This significant investment will further enhance Whyte Cargo Handlers’ capabilities as one of the leading cargo handlers in the north-east of Scotland.”
