Acetech Metals equipment set for online auction

Terex Fuchs material handler

METAL processing lines, heavy-duty handling machinery and associated plant previously operated by Acetech Metals are being offered for sale via online auction.

The dispersal follows a business rationalisation of the current operator and is being conducted on behalf of a finance company and the liquidators of Acetech Metals. The sale is managed by BPI Asset Advisory and listed on BPI.

Acetech Metals operated two large yards in the north of England and ran a full range of recovery operations covering magnetic separation, shearing, shredding and baling, along with the handling of UBCs, tinplate and ferrous material recovered from waste-to-energy facilities.

The auction has over 200 lots and includes processing and separation equipment such as a 2009 Magnapower ECS 1500RE eddy current separator, a material separation system with an Ecohog Airhog vacuum system, a Richards PX100/2G thermal reclamation system, and a Harris-Selco 516 twin ram hydraulic baler. Screening plant includes Powerscreen Warrior 1400 tracked screens, an Erin Fingerscreener 165T and a Powerscreen Commander towable screener.

The handling machinery is led by a Volvo L350F 56-tonne wheeled loader and a 2007 Doosan DL400 22-tonne loading shovel. There is also a 2004 Kalmar DCE160-12 18-tonne forklift and a 2021 JCB 8026 CTS mini-excavator. Several JCB Teletruks and telehandlers are available too, including a 2019 JCB 30-19E electric model and a 2013 JCB 535-125 Hi-Viz.

The transport fleet includes two 2014 MAN TGX 26.440 tractor units, a 2008 Terberg YT1852 hooklift truck, and a 2004 ERF tanker rigid. The portfolio also includes a TTC four-axle low loader and an 80-tonne gooseneck low-profile trailer.

The sale is completed by a range of supporting plant and site infrastructure. This includes diesel generators up to 600 kVA, Evapco and Baltimore Aircoil cooling towers, and mobile and inclined industrial conveyors. There are also bunded fuel tanks and bowsers, compressors, pumps, site cabins and welfare units.

Luke Hartshorn, director at BPI Asset Advisory, said, “This auction offers a wide range of assets including metal processing, separation lines and balers as well as heavy-duty loaders, screening plant, haulage vehicles and site infrastructure. The disposal offers end users, dealers and trade an opportunity to add to their existing offerings.

“We expect strong interest from recyclers, aggregates and demolition businesses, plant hire companies and contractors who want to increase capacity or renew their fleet. The complete Bano processing line and Mansfield shredder with feed and delivery systems are offered for sale separately, by negotiation.”

Viewing is strictly by appointment only and will take place on November 2. The online auction closes on November 3. To browse the full catalogue and register to bid, visit https://hubs.li/Q04CCBQg0.
