BOMAG has announced the appointment of three new dealers in Scotland.
From October 1, Balgownie, AT Best Handlers and Lloyd Ltd will provide sales and service for the brand in the north, central belt and souther & borders areas, respectively.
Balgownie, based in Aberdeen, are dealers for Doosan and Bobcat with engineers covering from Dundee and Perth up to the north west and north east of Scotland.
Airdrie-headquartered AT Best Handlers specialise in the sales and service of Manitou products and Takeuchi excavators. The business opened additional premises last year in East Lothian. Both depots have dedicated parts counters and service departments as well as a sales team and a fleet of mobile engineers.
Lloyd Ltd is already a Bomag dealer for Cumbria and the north east of England. The company has branches in Dumfries and Kelso. Each depot has a dedicated construction sales specialist and technician/mobile engineer.
Simon Kennedy, national sales manager for Bomag GB said, “With so many factors affecting our sales in Scotland, starting with the sale of Young Plant in 2016, meant that change was inevitable as it was essential our only dealer in Scotland did not have competing products within their portfolio. In this case change is a good thing.
“We are excited at the prospect of having three new and established dealers joining our team. I am convinced that we are all heading in the same direction and have similar business goals. There is no doubt Bomag want to be in Scotland and these new appointments coupled with the service support from our three Scottish-based Bomag engineers strengthens that philosophy.”
