LIEBHERR will present around 20 machines across three themed pavilions from various product segments at Intermat 2024 this year.
The line-up will include a R 972 crawler excavator with operational capability of approximately 72 tonnes. Liebherr said the ‘low’ fuel consumption and ‘innovative’ assistance functions make it ideal for large-scale construction and extraction sites. The R 972 features the Liebherr assistance system Bucket Fill Assist (BFA). This is designed to facilitate a better fill level of the bucket, faster cycle times and better penetration of the material.
Liebherr will also present its LRB 23 piling and drilling rig, described as an ‘all-rounder’ for deep foundation, with an engine output of 600 kW. This allows the machine to deliver the capacity needed for common deep foundation applications.
The TA 230 Litronic ADT will also make an appearance. The off-terrain machine boasts a weighing device, installed as standard, which registers the loaded weight in real time.
Furthermore, Liebherr will showcase the MK 140-5.1, the strongest Liebherr mobile construction crane with a load capacity of up to 8,000k. The machine features the VarioJib, which allows for operations in luffing mode and up to 65m of jib length. Liebherr said the hybrid power concept enables fully electric crane operation using either site power or another external power source. It is compatible with the Liduro Power Port (LPO) from Liebherr, the mobile energy storage system.
The 125 K crane is said to offer ‘maximum stroke capacity’ yet takes up only ‘minimal’ space. It has a variety of hook heights, which means it can be adjusted to the site conditions. With a jib length of 55m and a hook height of up to approximately 6m, Liebherr revealed the 125 K is currently the ‘largest fast-erecting crane on the market’.
The group’s first battery-electric wheel loader – the L 507 E – will also be on display. It combines the benefits of a Liebherr stereoloader with a Liebherr-developed battery-electric drive concept.
Another highlight will be the new ETM truck mixer series featuring electric drum drive, which when combined with an electric chassis renders it possible to transport concrete without producing emissions. The ETM attachments are available as fixed superstructures and semi-trailers. Visitors to Intermat will be able to see a fully electric articulated ETM 1205.
Liebherr will also present a battery-electrical operated telehandler, the T 33-10, featuring a choice of drive concepts aligned to the application or the market.
With the development of the LTR 1150, Liebherr has expanded its range of telescopic crawler cranes to include a 150-tonne model. Despite offering roughly 50% more load capacity than the LTR 1100, the manufacturer explained that the new crane is as ‘simple and economical’ to export as its 100-tonne counterpart. It is available either complete with crawler frames, at a total weight of 60 tonnes and a transport width of 3.5m, or without, weighing 38 tonnes and measuring 3m in width. In a first for telescopic crawler cranes, the LTR 1150 features Liebherr’s VarioBase, which the crane control uses to determine the best possible load capacity depending on track width and angle of rotation.
The 36 XXT truck-mounted concrete pump has a new five-part folding boom, Powerbloc drive unit and semi-closed oil circuit. An ‘ultra-compact’ design without any boom overhang at the rear makes it extremely manoeuvrable in tight spaces, Liebherr stated. The newly developed Powerbloc pump drive unit has the benefit of all hydraulic switching and measuring elements being fully integrated.
