GAP Hire Solutions is celebrating the first anniversary of its pump services division, and the opening of two new depots in Dundee and Warrington.
The group has made an investment of over £20 million in the division over the first year, with more than 500 Stage V pumps, and 150,000 metres of hose.
The division now operates from eight depots, including the new Warrington and Dundee sites, with plans for further expansion.
GAP Pump Services focuses on special fluid movement, from basic dewatering to dedicated system design. Under the GAP Environmental product group ranges, the hire company has chemical dosing plants, lamella clarifiers, pH balancing systems and recycling concrete wash systems. GAP explained its pumps are colour coordinated for different uses including draining, sewage and hydraulics, which ensures no cross-contamination.
Equipment has been sourced from suppliers including Atlas Copco, DXB Pump & Power and Active Engineering.
Richard Broughton, head of pump services, said, “As we fast approach the one-year anniversary of the division, we have made large strides forward in offering our customers the latest pump and treatment technology, which is coupled with market leading fuel efficiency. We have been continually focusing on providing market-leading solutions to customers, with their ever-evolving requirements.
“Some of these requirements have led to extensive research and development to provide unique product offerings, including our fuel safes, light weight rapid response pumps, and modular pedestrian bridges which have all been designed using market feedback analysis from customers. With more unique product lines becoming available in the coming months, we continue to invest in product lines to reduce our customers’ carbon emissions and energy requirements to help protect to the environment.”
