Vintage Hitachi sale earns £25,000 for construction charity

Hitachi Construction Machinery UK (HCMUK) has announced it has raised £25,000 for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity after auctioning a vintage UH063.The machine was sold to the highest bidder, Paul Poulter, director at Surrey Excavations, with all proceeds going to the charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.The cheque was presented to a representative from the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity during the Hillhead exhibition by HCME president, Ikeda San.

Dave Roberts, CEO at HCMUK, said, “HCMUK is delighted to present this cheque to the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity to support the excellent and important work they undertake to support those employed in the construction industry. We’d also like to say a very special thank you to our highest bidder, Paul Poulter, director at Surrey Excavations for his very generous contribution.”
