SCOTTISH excavator operators have been tipped to benefit from TrackGrips, which can improve stability and traction in forestry and construction tasks by offering sideways protection.
Available from NY Forestry, the sole UK distributor, the New Zealand-designed and manufactured products are said to be capable of handling a variety of conditions and are available for use on most tracked vehicles. NY said that with TrackGrips fitted, the stability when working on slopes is ‘vastly improved’. The products are described as being effective in conditions including snow, ice, mud, clay and wet grass.
Fuel efficiency is also boosted by the tracks continually rotating rather than skidding and sliding in challenging conditions.
The products can be fitted and removed with no drilling or welding required.
