Hydrema model ‘ideal’ for Scottish conditions

HYDREMA’S UK sales manager Tim Wadsworth has described the manufacturer’s 920G extra low ground pressure dump truck as a great fit for Scottish conditions.

Featuring a Stage V-compliant Cummins engine, the machine is said to achieve a 15% reduction in ground pressure over the 922G model.

The model was launched last year at bauma, targeted at specialist contractors who operate on very soft terrain but still require the speed and efficiency of a wheeled machine.

“Hydrema dump trucks are designed for off-road applications and the 920 is specially adapted to handle extra wide 920mm tyres which makes it perform brilliantly in very soft conditions,” Tim told Project Plant.

“Hydrema machines have always been popular in Scotland due to hillier terrain and softer ground conditions. The 920 has a slightly reduced capacity over the 922G but the same high engine HP and largest power to weight ratio available, making it ideally suited to conditions where you would normally use tracked dumpers.”
