THE final preparations are being put in place for ScotPlant 2020, the most important event of the year for the Scottish construction equipment sector.
The Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston, near Edinburgh Airport, will once again host the biggest names in the industry on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th of April.
Hitachi Construction Machinery is the latest top manufacturer to confirm their presence at the showcase event – the first time the business has exhibited since 2004.
Hitachi machines will join a stellar line-up which is set to include the latest products and innovations from the world’s largest producers of construction equipment including Caterpillar, Liebherr, JCB, Komatsu, Volvo, Case, Hyundai, Kubota, Kobelco, Takeuchi, Engcon, Steelwrist, and many more.
Tiltrotator specialist Rototilt Ltd has also been added to this year’s exhibitor list following the recent decision to change its dealership model in Scotland and bring all services back in-house. Rototilt will be located in the brand new avenue of the show alongside the likes of Cat dealer Finning, crushing and screening specialist McCloskey, and surveying equipment provider Opti-cal.
We can also reveal that Stirling-based Doppstadt dealer AMP (Advanced Material Processing) will make their ScotPlant debut after signing up for a large stand.
Other confirmed debutants include machine control systems specialist MOBA and attachments provider Arden Equipment.
Dumfries-based AMD Contract Services, led by former Scottish Plant Owners Association (SPOA) president Fraser Dykes, will make a welcome return to ScotPlant with an outdoor stand, while Tayside Pressure Washers are back for the first time since 2014. ScotPlant stalwarts Genquip Groundhog will have a larger presence at the show after signing up for a bigger plot.
Police Scotland have confirmed their place in the indoor Lowland Hall, where representatives will be on hand to offer advice on how to help prevent theft of construction equipment. Joining them in this section will be Close Brothers Asset Finance, who can advise on the financing of machines.
