BLUE Group has appointed three new general managers including Iain Colquhoun, who takes over at Blue Scotland where he will be responsible for managing all day to day operations.
Iain, who has previously held senior management roles within a variety of industries, will report directly to Blue Scotland MD Austin Carey. Blue said he plans to enhance the division’s long-term vision and create a “stellar reputation” within the industry.
Iain commented, “I am thrilled to be joining Blue, having worked with them previously in my last role. I believe in their vision for the future, therefore (I am) excited to continue to grow their operation in Scotland, whilst ensuring their customers receive high-quality service.”
Blue Group has also appointed Ian Webber and Stuart Hardiman to the role of general manager at Blue Spares and Blue Southern respectively. Ian was previously procurement director at Blue Spares, while Stuart was service manager at Blue Southern.
All the appointments follow a busy year for the group, which included the acquisition of Paisley-based Murray Plant and the integration of Blue Fuchs into Blue’s regional businesses, as well as Blue Spares.
Blue CEO Adrian Murphy said, “Iain is an excellent addition to the group, his experience and knowledge in managing people will further the continued success within the company. In regard to Ian and Stuart, I am delighted that they have progressed through the company; their industry, company and customer knowledge is second to none and is essential for the growth of the two divisions. Lastly, I congratulate all three of them and look forward to seeing their success within the group.”
