PLANTWORX 2019 will feature an interactive Simulation Zone highlighting the latest technology in the construction sector, organisers have revealed.
The area will feature six simulators, said to replicate a ‘real working construction site’ – but in a virtual world. Each of the simulators will be linked and will represent machines including an excavator, wheel loader, tower crane, dozer and articulated dump truck. Visitors will be invited to complete tasks, while spectators can join the action via oculus rift headsets.
A number of 80-inch screens and a huge event screen will project live feeds from the simulators. Training specialists, including founder member of UK Plant Operators Dale Hawkins, will be on hand to guide participants.
Plantworx 2019 runs from June 11-13 at the East of England Arena and Events Centre, Peterborough.
