YOUNG Plant Sales has opened a new depot in Inverness to increase coverage in northern areas of Scotland and better serve customers in the area.
The firm, which has its headquarters in Doune, Stirlingshire, said the new Tore site will provide a base to offer customers local sales, parts and service facilities.
The Inverness depot will be stocked with machines and parts from the Young Plant product range, including brands such as Kubota, Thwaites and Bomag, as well as recent additions to the range such as Kobelco and Sennebogen.
The depot is open for business from Friday 5th October and will host two open days on November 9 and 10, where visitors can check out the new facility and available equipment.
Since being acquired by Molson Group, Young Plant has added to the firm’s range of construction machines in the shape of Kobelco excavators, Dieci telehandlers and Bergmann dumpers. This has been followed by the addition of recycling products including Terex Ecotec shredders, trommel screens and chippers, Sennebogen wood and material handlers and TrommALL compact screening equipment.
Brian Young, Young Plant Sales managing director said, “We are all delighted to have the new depot open for business. With the latest recruit to our growing sales team, Angus Innes and his longstanding counterpart Ross McKay covering the area I am confident we will offer the same high standards our customers have come to expect from our Doune depot.”
Jonathan Wilson, Molson Group joint managing director added, “The Inverness depot is a key part of the groups growth strategy. Young Plant Sales are well established after trading for over 40 years, building a reputation for offering market leading brands and delivering high levels of service. This additional depot puts us on the doorstep for customers across Northern Scotland, offering great products and backup they can rely on.”
