YANMAR has pledged its commitment to the UK construction equipment market after announcing it plans to increase access to its machinery portfolio via a “dynamic” distribution strategy.
Appointments to the new dealer network will be announced over the coming weeks after Yanmar said it has mutually agreed not to renew its long-term UK and Ireland distribution contract with A&Y Equipment Ltd.
The manufacturer will appoint a national dealer network to help “closely control” product distribution. Yanmar added that a “rejuvenated focus” on the UK and Ireland market complements the company’s acquisition of Terex Compact Germany GmbH.
