BLUE Group is celebrating a hat-trick of prizes picked up at the Powerscreen Awards Ceremony, held recently in Miami, Florida as part of the manufacturer’s global conference. One of the accolades went to Blue Scotland for safety and customer excellence.
Dealers and customers from around the world gathered to hear presentations from the likes Colin Clements (Powerscreen’s global product line director), Joe Cassidy (regional sales manager) and Dearbhaile Mulholland (marketing manager). A Q&A session featured Blue Scotland’s Austin Carey and Powerscreen’s UK sales manager Barry O’Hare.
Attendees also took part in discussions on topics such as new product development, training, customer support and marketing, while a live demonstration of some of the latest machines took place at a Cemex quarry.
At the Global Leader Awards ceremony, Blue Southern’s Brian Maxwell was named Global Leader in Technical Support Innovation. Blue said this was due to the service team’s “pursuit of aftersales excellence” and a number of solutions introduced to enable field service engineers to “troubleshoot quickly”
Blue Scotland and Austin Carey took the Global Leader in Safety and Customer Experience award for the way the firm “excel in looking after customers and building relationships by offering operator training, machine demonstrations and a highly supporting handover process”.
Blue chairman Pat McGeary completed a trio of Blue awards with the Global Award for Commitment to Sales Team Development. He said, “These awards are testament to the hard work demonstrated by all the staff at Blue Group, along with our commitment to continually lead the way in machinery sales and customer support best practice. We are very proud to be associated with such a progressive and leading brand such as Powerscreen, and to be recognised by them for the work we do is immensely pleasing.”
