THE popularity of Manitou telescopic loaders has been a real success story of 2015, according to the firm. The latest plant hire company to invest in the machines is Gordon Bow Plant Hire of Broxburn.

Manitou represents a significant part of the Bow fleet with a mix of models from the compact MT625 to the high lift MT1840, which are deployed throughout Scotland on hire to major housebuilders, private construction companies and utilities, road and rail infrastructure projects.

Gordon Bow said, “The (Manitou) cab is very spacious and has a high level of comfort. The layout of the dashboard and instrument panel is straightforward and easy to use. The JSM Control (Joystick Switch & Move) is very intuitive and responsive, allowing the operator to have full control of all boom handling functions as well as forward and reverse direction of travel.”

Manitou dealer, AT Best of Airdrie, has a close working relationship with Gordon Bow and are an integral part of their continuing success which has seen increasing turnover year on year. Gordon added, “Daily maintenance is critical for the maximum efficiency of the machine and Manitou makes life simple with excellent access to centralised greasing points.”
