Blue Group has confirmed that Allan Kane has been promoted to the post of General Manager of Blue Machinery (Scotland) Limited.
The company has also welcomed Daniel Tomlinson, who joins to take up the position of Group Marketing Manager vacated by Mr Kane.
Scot Allan Kane has always been based at Blue Machinery Scotland’s premises in Stirling, having joined the Group to lead the marketing services activities eight years ago. During this period the Group has grown considerably, carried out a very successful rebranding, seen the formation of materials handler distributor Blue Fuchs and the creation of BlueMAC, the bespoke recycling plant manufacturing venture with DMAC Engineering of Coalisland, Co. Tyrone.
Commenting on his new position, Allan said, “I am very much looking forward to joining the management team at Blue Machinery Scotland and helping to drive the business forward as it continues to expand. I would like to thank our customers and my colleagues at Blue Group for all their support during my tenure as Marketing Manager and I’m excited at the prospect of working with them in this new management rôle.”
Daniel Tomlinson (38), will be based at Blue Spares’ headquarters in Appleton Thorn, near Warrington, Cheshire. Daniel has over 15 years marketing experience in various sectors and has a Master’s Degree in digital marketing, an area which is becoming increasingly significant for progressive companies such as Blue Group. On his appointment, Daniel said, “This is a great opportunity for me and I’m looking forward to continuing to develop the marketing communications function, following in Allan’s footsteps and building on his expertise in developing the brands and supporting the sales and after sales teams as the business continues to grow.”
