Eagle Plant cements long-standing Takeuchi relationship with landmark machine deal

Excavator out working in the field

ONE of Takeuchi’s longest-standing customers has snapped up a new 3-Series 15-tonne TB3150R excavator, which was launched at Hillhead 2026.

Eagle Plant – which has 23 depots across England and Wales – is celebrating its 50th year in business. The firm has built up one of the UK’s largest Takeuchi hire fleets operating nationally thanks to a relationship that started back in 1997.

Today, the Eagle fleet boasts more than 600 Takeuchi models. MD Nick Barrow said, “Our customers really like them; they are regraded both as powerful and reliable. As a busy hire firm they are without doubt the best machine for our business. Takeuchi UK are one of Eagle’s longest-standing suppliers. These highly reliable machines have been an essential part of the Eagle fleet.”

The new 3-Series TB3150R with fixed boom and short tail features a Yanmar Stage V engine with keyless start. It is designed to deliver 14% more hydraulic horsepower than the previous TB2150R model.

Jason Periam, head of sales at Takeuchi UK, added, “The delivery of Eagle Plant’s 1,800th Takeuchi machine is a significant milestone in a partnership that spans close to 30 years. As Eagle celebrate 50 years of trading and Takeuchi marks 30 years in the UK, this new TB3150R reflects the strength of our long-standing relationship and Eagle’s continued confidence in the Takeuchi brand.”
