AS a result of continued growth across the company’s Service Centre network, multi-million pound fleet investment and impressive financial results, A-Plant is carrying out a major recruitment drive.

The equipment rental company currently has over 60 new vacancies for various positions across its growing network.

A-Plant is working in conjunction with Career Transition Partnership (CTP)  to increase awareness amongst military personnel, who are due to leave the forces within the next 6-12 months, about the job opportunities. CTP is the official provider of Ministry of Defence (MoD) Resettlement Services.

The company is exhibiting at two forthcoming CTP Employment Fairs – at Wigan’s DW Stadium on 30th October and at Telford’s International Centre on 19th November, which is expecting to see over 1,000 service leavers from the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Royal Air Force and the Army.

The new vacancies have arisen as a result of continued expansion at A-Plant. The company’s Service Centre network has grown as a result of recent acquisitions such as lifting equipment specialist FLG Services, and PSS Hire which supplies equipment to the pipeline, utilities, civil engineering and associated sectors. Fleet investment is anticipated to reach over £100 million in the current year and A-Plant’s latest financial results announced £268m annual turnover (for year ended 30 April 2014), representing a 30% increase against the prior year.

Sara Saleh, Head of HR at A-Plant said, “We’re using a number of innovative recruitment strategies to fill our new vacancies. The Employment Fairs allow us to meet talented and highly skilled individuals from a military background. We hope that at these events we can introduce our company and the variety of vacancies we have on offer, as well as build a potential future talent pool.”
