GROUNDFORCE has expanded its operations and coverage across the UK with the opening of two new dedicated hire depots including one in Dyce, Aberdeenshire.
The Dyce depot is conveniently situated close to road and transport networks, providing excellent access across the region.
This new depot will provide coverage throughout the North of Scotland, with the South of the region being covered by their existing site in Coatbridge.
In total, the Vp group now has two locations in Aberdeen, following the recent opening of the ESS Safeforce branch at their Airpac Bukom premises in Bucksburn.
The other new depot is in Northern Ireland.
Groundforce has grown considerably in Ireland since opening its first site in Portlaoise, near Dublin, seven years ago.
To facilitate this continuing growth the company needed to be able to offer easy access to their complete product range to customers in the North, which this new location will provide.
Richard Cherrie, Sales Director for Groundforce, explained why they chose to open a site in Aberdeenshire.
“This new depot will further compliment the service we offer to our customers in the North. We see the opening of this new depot as natural progression for the company. Although we have been trading successfully throughout the country from our base in Coatbridge near Glasgow, this additional location will reduce costs and delivery times for our customers as well as increasing choice.
“We are confident our decision to invest in a new depot in Aberdeen will further position us as the “supplier of choice” for the construction industry in Scotland.
“We are also delighted to be creating new employment opportunities and expect to create further employment at the depot over the coming year. “
Simon Littlewood, Managing Director for Groundforce, added. “During the last 18 months we have found our customer base significantly increasing in both these regions, and we felt we needed to respond to this growth. Both of these new locations will offer our customers a complete one-stop-shop for the widest ranging and modern fleet of equipment available, for shoring excavations, trenchless pipe installation and testing pipes.”
