A global road construction equipment manufacturer has appointed WAC McCandless as sole Northern Irish distributor for road construction equipment. The Northern Irish company, which employs 16 people, has been trading for over fifty years and has been a Komatsu dealer since 1961.

The range of Dynapac road construction equipment, which has recently been incorporated into the Atlas Copco brand, includes pavers, small asphalt rollers and the larger soil rollers. WAC McCandless has already bought four tandem rollers to promote the brand in the area. It has also bought an SD2500WS paver. The wheeled paver is the flagship of the range and offers fast transport speeds, enormous traction as well as an outstanding paving performance.
Ciaran Carvill, Managing Director at W.A.C. McCandless, states that, “Dynapac is a well-known and well established name with an excellent product range that fits well with our offering. The equipment is robust, reliable and is being very well received in Northern Ireland.”
“WAC McCandless has a great reputation in Northern Ireland”, says Mark Black, Business Line Manager for Road Construction Equipment. Mark goes on to say, “The firm will be able to offer customers a single point of contact for sales and service in the area. They are also well-known for their strong local relationships and share our vision of providing the highest quality equipment with a strong focus on service. We look forward to a long working relationship together.”
