CASE Construction Equipment has added to its compact portfolio with new backhoe and electric mini track loaders.
The manufacturer is entering the European sub-80hp backhoe loader segment for the first time with the new 550SV. Developed as a ‘straightforward, productive and cost-effective’ machine, the model is designed for construction, municipal and rental applications.
The machine is powered by a 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 74hp (55kW). The EU Stage V engine uses a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) after-treatment system, without the need for Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) or AdBlue.
An extendable dipper arm with in-line cylinder design provides ‘enhanced’ visibility and reach, while the front loader features mechanical parallel lift and can be equipped with a range of attachments.
Ride Control is available to improve operator comfort and bucket material retention during load-and-carry operations. A load-sensing hydraulic system with a variable displacement pump delivers hydraulic flow as required, while the standard Powershuttle transmission is said to provide ‘smooth’ direction changes.
The operator environment includes a digital instrument cluster, with LED working lights, Bluetooth radio and air conditioning fitted as standard.
Umberto Celestini, backhoe loaders product manager at CASE, said, “The 550SV has been engineered with an intentionally lean, focused and highly practical specification that is perfectly aligned with the expectations of this sector of the market.”
CASE is also expanding its range of electric utility machines with the new TL100EV electric mini track loader. Designed for landscaping, urban and farming applications, the model combines electric power with a 1.3-tonne tipping load and ‘high manoeuvrability’.

Three independent electric motors — two for ground drive and one for the hydraulics — provide power for multi-function tasks. The machine is compatible with a range of attachments through its Common Industry Interface coupling system.
The TL100EV is available in wide and narrow-track configurations. The wide-track version measures 1026mm in overall width, increasing to 1067mm with the bucket, while the narrow-track version measures 890mm, or 914mm with the bucket. Non-marking rubber tracks are available for indoor applications.
CASE revealed it has also enhanced its 221G and 321G compact wheel loaders, bringing comfort, visibility and ergonomic improvements introduced on the larger 421G to the wider G-Series line-up. Both models are available in standard-speed 20kph and high-speed 40kph versions. The 321G is available with either the standard Z-Bar kinematic or an Extended Reach (XR) loader arm.

A new Deluxe cab is now standard on both models, providing a more spacious environment. Visibility has been enhanced with a redesigned right-hand door and sliding upper window, a 20% increase in front windscreen glazing and a 71% increase in glazed door surface area. Additional side glazing and a lowered front console further improve sightlines.
The updated G-Series models also incorporate CASE smart features. Operators can customise loader arm and bucket responsiveness, while ECO mode and cruise control can help reduce fuel consumption during transport and repetitive tasks. Automated functions including Return-to-Dig, travel and lift-height detents further streamline repetitive loading cycles.
