SPEEDY Hire has announced a multi-million-pound investment in new Hilti technology, acquiring 25,000 assets as part of a rolling five-year agreement.
Described as one of the largest tool technology investments in the company’s recent history, the deal covers a vast array of Hilti’s tool portfolio with over 60 product lines now part of Speedy Hire’s fleet. Included in the investment is Hilti’s Nuron cordless platform, which gives customers access to the 22 volt single-platform battery-powered technology.
Operating through Hilti’s Fleet Management programme, the manufacturer will be responsible for all service and repairs through its Hilti GB Repair Centre in Glasgow.
By having an OEM carry out all repairs within agreed timescales, Speedy Hire said it will be able to achieve ‘maximum utilisation’ while tools and batteries are continually delivering peak performance.
