EMMITT Plant has worked with Molson Equipment to upgrade the fuel efficiency of its fleet, as the firm looks to support more tier one projects.
A sustainability-focused procurement drive has led to a switch to Kobelco excavators, starting with a bumper deal for 13t and 21t models. The haul comprises six Kobelco SK130s and one Kobelco SK210.
Established in 1979 and now part Group One Construction, a holding company of 12 businesses with a turnover of more than ÂŁ200 million, Emmitt Plant operates from depots in East Anglia and the Midlands.
The new Kobelco machines will join a fleet of excavators, dumpers, rollers and telehandlers. The new diggers have been fitted with rotation circuits, which enable them to use the range of attachments also available to hire, from breakers to rotating grabs. They also have a distinctive reflective counterweight wrap, meaning they will be easily spotted on-site.
Luke Findlay, MD of Emmitt Plant, said, “These new machines are exactly what we need to continue to fulfil high-value contracts. Partnering with dealers that we can have faith in, like Molson Equipment, means we can face a challenging market with greater confidence. We’re very excited to get these excavators out onto customer sites.”
Chris Beckingsale, sales manager for Molson Equipment, added, “Kobelco’s frugal fuel consumption and reliability were a perfect match for Emmitt Plant and their customers. It’s great to be able to support an ambitious business to meet their commercial goals with quality machinery and aftersales support.”
