TAKEUCHI UK is now offering two distinct models in the 15-tonne excavator weight class.

The TB3150 is described as offering ‘unique’ offset boom functionality, while the TB3150R provides conventional fixed boom operation to suit all types of application and operators.

The new models reflect a focus on larger models by Takeuchi. While both machines share the same platform, their designs reflect two different approaches to excavator operation. The TB3150 features a boom swing system that allows operators to dig offset without repositioning the machine, making it suited to utility work and applications that require precise positioning. In contrast, the TB3150R has a reduced tail swing design and a reinforced fixed boom configuration, minimising rear overhang and allowing operators to work more confidently in confined areas or near structures.

The TB3150R is available with an optional two-piece boom, providing added flexibility for lifting and working at varying distances from the machine.

Both models incorporate Takeuchi’s latest 3-Series enhancements, including increased hydraulic horsepower and a new Yanmar engine rated at 85 kW (114 hp).

Internally, the redesigned cab features automatic climate control, heated air suspension seat, and keyless start with pin-code and RFID. An eight-inch touchscreen display, 270-degree camera views, intuitive jog dial, and multi-switch control panel provide access to common machine functions. Also included are pilot-operated joystick controls along with electro-hydraulic (EH) controls for functions such as travel, dozer blade, and boom swing.
