ATTACHMENTS and front loader manufacturer Ulrich has completed the acquisition of Hull-based welding and fabrication specialist LCR.
The move marks a milestone in Ulrich’s UK expansion and global growth strategy, significantly increasing manufacturing capacity.
LCR will be fully absorbed into the Ulrich business. The acquisition has been described as opening further opportunities across industries including offshore, rail, renewable energy, defence, construction, and subsea engineering.
Operating from an 80,000+ft2 production facility, LCR has decades of large-scale fabrication expertise and a highly skilled workforce. Ulrich confirmed all existing roles have been retained.
The Hull site will now become Ulrich’s dedicated centre for innovation and product development. Plans are already underway to expand operations and recruit additional personnel as production ramps up.
Ulrich Attachments’ sales director Josh Copeland said, “These are very exciting times for the company. Merging the design and engineering elements of the business will put us in a very strong position to meet future opportunities.”
