DIGGER GUARD, the manufacturer behind the award-winning Vandal Guard range and Polymer Handrail systems, has officially launched its new Clearview secondary glazing solution at Hillhead 2026.
Designed as an external sacrificial impact shield fitted over existing cab glass, the polycarbonate screen is designed to act as a ‘virtually unbreakable’ first line of defence against flying debris, vandalism, and high-velocity impacts.
By absorbing and dispersing impact energy before it reaches the original glazing, DIGGER GUARD explained that Clearview helps protect operators, preserve expensive OEM cab glass, reduce repair costs, and minimise downtime.
The LEXAN MARGARD hard-coated polycarbonate glazing solution is being introduced alongside two additional product launches.
One of these is a range of removable Sky Shield weather defender kits for open-cab machinery. The glass-like polymer panels protect operators from UV exposure, rain, wind, airborne debris, and fixed object hazards.
DIGGER GUARD has also introduced high-vis polymer Outrigger Pads, designed to provide ground stabilisation for heavy plant and utility vehicles. Available as off-the-shelf and custom, brandable solutions, the pads can be tailored to specific site and application requirements.
Sales director Dave Smith said, “The introduction of Clearview secondary glazing, alongside Sky Shield and our Outrigger Pads, demonstrates our continued investment in practical, high-performance heavy plant protection systems that improve safety, reduce costs, and keep machines working. As a design-to-manufacture partner, we work closely with customers to solve operational challenges through innovative, purpose-built polymer products here in the UK.
“This rollout is a major milestone in how far the DIGGER GUARD range has evolved.”
