MUIR of Ord-based Stoddart Crane Hire has won the Family Business Award at the Scottish Business of the Year Awards.
Founded in 2004 by David Stoddart, Stoddart Crane Hire started with one crane. Today, it operates a modern fleet of cranes ranging from five to 250 tonnes, employs 35 people, and has invested £3 million over the last two years in machinery, specialist equipment, and people.
David Stoddart, founder of Stoddart Crane Hire, said, “We started with one crane and a belief that doing the job properly would always matter. To see the business recognised nationally, with Kerri (MacDonald) and Ewan (Stoddart) helping carry it forward, is incredibly special. This award is for the whole Stoddart Crane Hire team.”
