ECOTEC has announced the launch of the TSS 390 Plus slow speed shredder.
The single shaft shredder is described as having the ability to process a broader range of materials than its TSS 390 predecessor, including waste, green waste and large lump wood.
“The TSS 390 Plus is the result of extensive customer feedback and has been carefully engineered to retain the core design principles that made the TSS 390 successful,” said Conor Hegarty, business line director for Terex Ecotec. “With the addition of advanced new features to meet today’s demanding shredding requirements, the TSS 390 Plus has been rigorously tested across a wide range of applications and is set to create new opportunities in the market.”
The TSS 390 Plus shares all the key features of the TSS 390, including the in-house–designed shredding chamber with a hydrostatically driven shredding shaft offering full-speed reverse. Combined with customisable shredding programmes, this aims to provide improved shaft cleaning in difficult applications. The chamber also features a hydraulically adjustable counter comb, which can operate in release mode for uninterrupted shredding or in fixed mode for applications where a precise piece size is critical.
Ecotec said the key design enhancement to the TSS 390 Plus is the increased under chamber clearance, with a higher discharge channel (820mm) to enable large, coarse, bulky shredded material to clear the machine. Increased under chamber clearance supports increased flexibility, making the TSS 390 Plus suitable for bulk volume reduction whilst still being able to produce a controlled piece size.
The model comes as standard with an 18-tooth shaft, however the optional 36 tooth shaft can be supplied if required.
A further design feature is the quick release product conveyor system so that the conveyor can be quickly removed by a single operator, without the need for tools.
