
ACCESS Platforms Aberdeen (APA) has expanded its training offering with in-house instructors now fully accredited by NPORS.
The accreditation enables APA to provide training across a range of plant machinery including forklifts, excavators, dumpers and rollers.
NPORS training covers areas including health and safety, machine inspections, safe operating techniques, hazard awareness and practical operating assessments. The courses support novice operators entering the industry and experienced workers looking to refresh or formally certify their skills.
Training can be held in APA’s Aberdeen or Elgin depots and on client sites by Darren Petrie, training manager, and Scott Limond, training instructor, who are both now NPORS-certified instructors. APA can now train up to 18 delegates a day and provide over 20 training courses.
Alongside the NPORS training, APA offers courses that have been certified by IPAF, PASMA as well as providing bespoke and refresher courses.
Established in 2005, APA supports businesses across the north east region and Scotland with platform access hire and accredited training. Morrison Construction, Hutcheon Services and Fowler McKenzie are among its clients. The company also works with Aberdeen Football Club and provides machinery for the Nuart street art festival held in Aberdeen.
