ATTACHMENT manufacturer Miller UK will unveil a special-edition bucket commemorating the Lighthouse Charity’s 70th anniversary at ScotPlant 2026 this week.
The Lighthouse Charity has been providing emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families since 1956. The charity offers a free and confidential 24/7 helpline, live web chat service and text facility which provides a range of information, guidance and support on a variety of wellbeing issues.
Its #MakeItVisible tours, featuring lived experience talks, were delivered to over 32,000 people last year and resulted in 48 active rescues which involved people approaching the team with suicidal thoughts and being placed into immediate care.
To mark the charity’s 70th year, Miller has branded its popular 20t heavy-duty bucket with a special-edition logo and commemorative colours. The bucket will first be showcased at ScotPlant, followed by Hillhead, before being auctioned to the highest bidder, with all proceeds donated directly to support Lighthouse Charity initiatives.
Alongside the bucket, visitors at ScotPlant and Hillhead can expect to see a range of activities – including specially designed Lighthouse Charity footballs – to raise awareness and funds for its work.
Lucy Ross-Knight, marketing manager at Miller, said, “The support and resources the Lighthouse Charity provides are vital for our employees and for the wider industry. Supporting mental health and wellbeing across construction is incredibly important, and it’s something we’re proud to stand behind.
“To show our support and help raise awareness of the fantastic work the Lighthouse Charity delivers every day, we’ve chosen to showcase our bucket at this year’s ScotPlant and Hillhead exhibitions. These shows give us a great opportunity to connect our industry with the community and hopefully raise as much as possible for a cause that makes a real difference.”
Sarah Bolton, CEO of the Lighthouse Charity, added, “It is a privilege to work with an organisation like Miller, who not only generates vital funds for our essential charitable services, but goes out of their way to raise awareness of those services to those who need it most.”
Miller will be showcasing products from its full portfolio at ScotPlant 2026, including its GT Series quick couplers and extreme rock buckets. Alongside its attachment range, Miller will also highlight its five-year extended warranty scheme, designed to give customers added confidence in the durability and long-term reliability of their equipment with all parts and labour costs covered.
