EDINBURGH-based mobile crane specialist Bernard Hunter has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2.
The 300-tonne unit was ordered at bauma 2025. The six-axle all-terrain crane features a seven-section 78m main boom, which can be extended with a range of jib options. These include a 12.5 to 21m bi-fold swingaway extension with up to 40 degrees of offset, or a 70m luffing jib, delivering a maximum hoist height of 114m and a working radius of 94m.
The crane is equipped with systems including VarioBase and AutoBallast. VarioBase is designed to enhance safety and precision during lifting operations, while AutoBallast is said to further improve safety by allowing the ballasting process to be carried out ‘quickly and efficiently’.
Mark Rafferty, MD of Bernard Hunter, said, “Ensuring we have a very modern fleet of cranes, ready to meet the demands of our customer base, is of vital importance to Bernard Hunter Crane Hire. And that is why we’ve taken delivery of this brand new LTM 1300-6.2 from Liebherr.”
At ConExpo 2026 in Las Vegas, Bernard Hunter placed an order for a Liebherr LRT 1090‑2.1, with the crane set to be the first of its kind to operate in Scotland.
