HITACHI Construction Machinery UK has been supporting the latest fleet expansion of Touchstone Civil Engineering, a company that has grown rapidly since being founded just two years ago by MD Tobi Williams.

Touchstone, a civil engineering and groundworks specialist, currently operates 14 Hitachi machines. The arrival of 16 new units – eight ZX130LC‑7Bs and eight ZX210LC‑7s – means the firm’s Hitachi fleet now totals 30 machines.

Many of the new models are equipped with Leica machine control base kit technology, and Touchstone utilises Leica cab kits through HCMUK’s Hitachi Connected Technology rental programme.

The investment has also been made possible through ZAXIS Finance, providing Touchstone with a funding solution that supports its long‑term growth strategy.

Jon Barnfield, Midlands sales director, said, “We are absolutely thrilled to support Touchstone’s continued investment in Hitachi machinery. Their latest fleet expansion is a tremendous milestone, and it’s great to see how central Hitachi equipment has become to their growing operations.

“We are pleased to have had the opportunity to offer Touchstone our whole package, from factory fit machine control to financing through our ZAXIS Finance solution, making the sales process as seamless as possible for the team. Touchstone Civil Engineering is an ambitious and forward‑thinking business, and we’re proud to stand alongside them as a trusted partner as they continue to scale and succeed.”
