Roger Bullivant bolsters specialist piling fleet

ROGER Bullivant Limited (RBL) has bolstered its specialist piling fleet with the addition of a Hütte HBR 204MP.

Engineered for challenging geological conditions, the HBR 204MP is designed to install 300mm to 600mm Continuous Flight Auger Piles and Sectional Flight Auger Piles, as well as temporary and permanent casings and overburden systems using air or water flushing.

The firm said its ability to handle such a broad range of techniques makes it ‘ideally suited’ to challenging commercial sites, industrial developments, and infrastructure schemes.

One of the defining features of the new rig is its segmental mast design. The system allows the rig to be reconfigured on site into multiple mast and stroke combinations – from a full 15.5-metre mast with a 10.6-metre stroke down to a compact 5.7-metre mast with a 3.8-metre stroke.

These changes can be completed in under half a day, enabling the team to respond efficiently to constraints such as low headroom, restricted access, or varying ground conditions without the delays or environmental impact associated with mobilising additional equipment.

In comparison to other rigs currently in the RB specialist fleet, the HBR 204MP delivers a longer mast and stroke option, faster configuration changes, and the added benefit of integrated air-flush capability for overburden work.

RBL said these advancements allows it to undertake more complex schemes with greater confidence and reduced programme risk.

The rig is operated via radio remote control, providing the operator with all round visibility, better positioning accuracy, and a safer working environment.

The inclusion of a Stage V engine with a fuel-active management system helps reduce emissions and fuel consumption. A second Hütte HBR 204MP is already in production for delivery later in the year.
