LLOYD Ltd has hailed the early success it has had in selling LiuGong machines after being added to the Chinese brand’s expanding UK dealer network last year.
Lloyd Ltd represents the brand from seven of its branches across Scotland and the north west of England. The firm told Project Plant it has already sold a number of LiuGong machines into its growing customer base, which has been impressed by the ‘excellent’ build quality and ‘high standard’ specifications.
Last autumn, Lloyd Ltd hosted well attended ‘Dig Days’ in Livingston and Penrith, where current and potential customers had the opportunity to try a range of LiuGong machines for themselves and learn more about the brand.
George Lloyd, Lloyd Ltd’s MD, said, “While LiuGong is a market leader in China, it is less well known in the UK, but we find that once someone puts their machines through their paces, they understand why it has achieved that position. When we first looked to partner with LiuGong it was important that we applied our knowledge of our local market to check that their machinery range was what our customers would want and need, and now several months in, we are in no doubt that it certainly delivers.”
Offering excavators up to 95 tonnes, the Dressta dozer, and a wheel loader range which includes an electric model, Lloyd Ltd explained LiuGong has created a portfolio of products to suit a variety of applications, from small civil projects to quarrying and recycling.
