Bobcat introduces next-generation augers and trenchers

Bobcat trencher

BOBCAT has introduced new auger and trencher attachments that are compatible with a selection of the company’s loader, mini-excavator and telehandlers.

The new line of augers features five drive models and can be used with a selection of auger bits designed for different ground conditions. The trencher range also comprises five new models offering a range of digging depths.

The new generation of auger drives comprises the 11H, 28H, 28LH, 33H and 55LH models. Using heavy-duty hydraulics with flows across the five models covering the range from 30 to 200 l/min, Bobcat explained that the attachments can bite into soil in any condition with ‘ease and efficiency’.

The new range uses the existing Bobcat breaker fixing caps to cover the full range of Bobcat mini-excavators without introducing any new fixing caps. Bobcat has also introduced new loader frames (mini and standard) for use with the new range of augers.

The new generation of Bobcat trenchers encompasses the LT90, LT90 HD, LT120, LT120 HD and LT150 HD models. For the first time, these trenchers are available for Bobcat mini-excavators.

The five models cover digging depths from 450-1500 mm, along with a selection of chains to match different requirements. The trenchers use the existing Bobcat breaker fixing caps to ensure compatibility with Bobcat mini-diggers. The mini and standard loader frames are the same as those for use with the new auger range.

Features in the new augers include top mounted hose ports, where angled fittings route hydraulic hoses upwards from the hood, providing unobstructed operation and allowing the drives to fit easily down the hole. Bobcat added that the integrated motor reduces the size and weight of the drive, as well as lowering the number of parts and potential leak points.

In the trenchers, features include a heavy-duty crumbing system. The spring-loaded crumber keeps constant contact with the trench floor, ensuring ‘thorough’ spoil removal and a ‘clean, finished trench without the need for extra passes’. For added versatility, the crumber can be folded away when not required.
