VOLVO Construction Equipment has announced two new appointments to its executive management team.
Christian Hallbjörner has been named head of finance and chief financial officer, succeeding Klara Eiritz who has decided to take on a new assignment outside Volvo CE as announced in September 2025. Christian previously served as senior VP, finance, and chief financial officer for Volvo Financial Services. He has more than 28 years’ experience in finance, business control, and business development, including the last 15 years within Volvo Financial Services, Volvo Trucks, and Volvo Penta.
Melker Jernberg, head of Volvo CE, said, “I’m excited to welcome Christian to Volvo CE. With his extensive experience within the Volvo Group, Christian will be a key contributor in driving our financial agenda as we continue to transform our company.”
Malin Norman, meanwhile, has been appointed head of people & culture at Volvo CE, effective from March this year. She will succeed Ann-Sofie Räftegård, who, after more than six years in the role, will assume a new position as senior transformation lead.

Malin has worked across several parts of the Volvo Group, including roles at GTO Powertrain in Köping, Sweden; GTO Powertrain in Hagerstown, US; and, since 2021, serving as head of people & culture technology at Volvo CE.
Melker Jernberg added, “It’s a pleasure to see an internal talent take on this exciting challenge. Malin brings a wealth of experience, with her broad background across Volvo and her leadership in technology making her well-suited to advance our people & culture agenda. I’m confident Malin will make a significant impact, and I look forward to working closely with her.”
Both Christian and Malin will be based in Eskilstuna and report to Melker Jernberg.
