High-spec plant goes under the hammer after construction firm enters administration

Excavator on building site

BPI Asset Advisory has been instructed by the administrators to manage the sale of plant, machinery, and commercial vehicles previously operated by Connolly Broadley Group Ltd, a West Yorkshire-based construction company specialising in groundworks, building, and infrastructure projects.

The assets, offered on behalf of finance companies, include a range of excavators, dumpers, compactors, trucks, and surveying equipment, many of which were in active use on sites until recently.

BPI said the auction offers an opportunity to acquire ‘high-specification, well-maintained’ machinery suitable for use across the construction, civils, and renewable energy sectors.

Andrew Cromack, director of BPI Asset Advisory, said, “This sale features a strong line-up of nearly-new plant and equipment from recognised manufacturers. With assets drawn from live projects, buyers can expect a high standard of operational machinery and supporting equipment available at auction value.”

The auction includes 2023 and 2022 Doosan DX225LC-7 and DX140LCR-7 tracked crawler excavators, a 2023 Thwaites MACH2390 cabbed front tip dumper, a 2024 Bomag BMP 8500 compactor, DAF and Iveco tipper trucks, as well as Topcon and Leica surveying instruments.

The online auction closes on 3rd December 2025, with assets located across multiple UK sites. The full auction catalogue and bidding details are available via BPI’s online auction platform: https://hubs.li/Q03TcWvl0
