Finning presents Flannery with rare Centennial Grey machines

Grey machinery to mark Caterpillar centenary

FINNING has presented Flannery Plant Hire with two rare Centennial Grey models as part of a deal to supply £70 million worth of Cat machinery throughout 2025.

The machines – designed to mark Caterpillar’s centennial year – are a Cat 305 excavator and latest Cat D6 XE hybrid electric dozer.

Lee Andrews, general manager – sales at Finning UK & Ireland, said, “Our partnership with Flannery goes back to 2010, when they invested in ten Cat 320 hydraulic excavators. Now, 15 years on, nearly 70% of their fleet is made up of Cat machines.

“The team at Flannery have always been early adopters of new technology and were amongst the first to utilise integrated 2D and 3D technology through Cat Grade technology to improve efficiency and accuracy, whilst reducing rework and material waste. Flannery shares our vision for innovation and a sustainable future, and we are thrilled to present them with their new machines at the home of Caterpillar in the UK during this centennial year.”

Martin Flannery, MD at Flannery Plant Hire, added, “We have a great working relationship with the team at Finning. Over the years we have worked alongside them to ensure our fleet not only keeps up to latest industry innovations, but that it serves our mission of reducing the environmental impact of our everyday operations. These latest additions will certainly support this, and I am keen to get them working on-site as part of our high-performance fleet.”
