Astrak aims to expand 20-tonne bucket range into 2026

ASTRAK has revealed plans to continue expanding its GeoXD range of buckets into 2026.

The Kirkcaldy-based business has been supplying the UK plant and construction sectors with undercarriage wear parts since 2003.

The GeoXD bucket range has been developed through direct feedback from major plant hire, civils, OEM, and demolition customers. Astrak confirmed that it now holds optimised stock to suit excavators up to 20-tonnes.

Every GeoXD bucket includes: heat-treated steel; heavy-duty welds and reinforced cutting edges; extra wear strips for longer service life; bolt-in pins, bossed hangers and bucket hooks; and replacement teeth and edges.

A full range of bladed, toothed, ditching, and riddle buckets are available on 80mm pins to suit the majority of 20-tonne machines in the UK.

The heavy-duty bulk buckets come with extra wear protection.  Heel shrouds and wear strips are designed to protect the floor and sides of the buckets, which Astrak said ‘massively’ extends the wear life of the bucket. Bolt-in pins, bossed hangers and CAT J-series teeth also come as standard.

Astrak’s ditching buckets feature two centre braces to reduce twisting, ensuring critical stress points will not fail. They have a reversible bolt-on cutting edge and wear strips across the back and floor as standard to maximise the life of the bucket.

For drainage and foundation work, Astrak added that its utility bladed buckets have become very popular. These are said to provide the same robust construction but are supplied without the heel shrouds, ensuring the trenches being dug are as neat as possible.

For customers who prefer to have a cutting edge welded on to the bucket teeth, Astrak’s in-house welding booths and paint shop means this can be facilitated. Customised plant numbers or logos can also be added. For orders placed for a stocked item before 4.30pm, Astrak vows to dispatch it the same day for delivery the next working day. Welding and painting can be carred out in 1-2 days.
