XWATCH Safety Solutions will launch its EVC (Electronic Valve Control) system at PlantWorx 2025 next week.
Designed to work exclusively with the new Mk2 platform, EVC provides safety control for a growing class of machines equipped with electronically controlled hydraulics.
Xwatch said that, until now, machines such as the JCB Hydradig and Caterpillar’s next-generation equipment haven’t been compatible with conventional safety systems built for hydraulic control.
Building on the success of the Xwatch EHOC (Electric over Hydraulic Control) system, which first enabled safety control on machines with electronic control interfaces, the new EVC system delivers full compatibility with OEM machines that rely entirely on electronic hydraulic architecture.
The system is built on the foundations of the new Mk2 platform, Xwatch’s next-generation safety system. With a PL d-rated safety architecture, faster installation, and telematics-ready connectivity, Mk2 is said to set a ‘new standard’ for protecting machines and operators on complex sites.
Dan Leaney, director of sales at Xwatch, said, “EVC represents a significant advancement in safety control for electronically managed machines. OEMs are increasingly adopting electrohydraulic systems, which previously posed major integration barriers for safety devices. With the EVC system and our Mk2 platform, we’ve developed a robust and reliable solution – enabling full parameter control on machines that were previously incompatible with conventional safety systems.”
