HD Hyundai Infracore adds to electronic generator engine portfolio

DX15 generator engine

HD Hyundai Infracore has launched its new DX15 generator engine, the fifth model in the company’s  DX Series.

Built on a 15.1-litre V-type eight-cylinder configuration, the DX15 delivers 457–662 kWm of output and meets EPA Tier 2 and Tier 3 emission regulations, making it suitable for a range of global markets.

Compared to mechanical engines of the same class, output is said to have increased by 16%. The engine features an electronically controlled fuel injection system to enhance performance.

Despite its compact design, HD Hyundai Infracore said DX15 delivers ‘high power density and exceptional performance’. Electronic control ensures improved speed stability and reliability, while a ‘robust’ design is described as enabling consistent output even under extended operation.

The engine is compatible with eco-friendly fuels such as HVO and GTL, and can operate for up to 500 hours without oil refills.

“The official launch of the DX15 completes our full line-up up to 1 MW of electronic generator engines,” said Hyungtaek Lim, executive VP and head of engine sales at HD Hyundai Infracore’s engine division. “With its powerful performance, eco-friendly technology and proven durability, the DX15 is set to earn customer trust and satisfaction across the global generator market and diverse application sites.

“We will continue to expand our line-up into the 1 MW+ large-scale engine segment, leading the global generator engine market.”
