GAP Hire Solutions has announced it is expanding its fleet with two ‘advanced’ welfare units from Groundhog. The new units comprise the single axle GP360 Fusion Pulse (3.6m) and the twin axle GPO660 Fusion Pulse (6.6m) with twin toilet facilities.
Features include a roof-mounted solar panel system and the Fusion Pulse balanced power system, which actively monitor battery levels to ensure the on-board generator is only used when needed. GAP revealed this can cut generator use by up to 90%.
Double inverter sockets with built-in USB-C charging, a 12V socket for cool boxes or fridges, and on-board telematics to track usage and report on emissions are also included.
GAP is launching these new Fusion Pulse units this week at Plantworx 2025.
David Munro, head of asset management and supply chain at GAP Hire Solutions, said, “These new welfare units represent a significant step forward for GAP in delivering sustainable and high-quality on-site solutions. The Fusion Pulse system not only reduces emissions and fuel consumption but also improves comfort and convenience for our customers. We’re excited to showcase them at Plantworx 2025 and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to innovation in hire solutions.”
Paul Ratcliffe, CEO at Groundhog, added, “We are extremely excited to start our new partnership with GAP Group, we believe our joint family values align, being quality, sustainability and service allowing us to form a strong relationship going forward.”
The Fusion Pulse units will be available across GAP’s network of depots in the coming weeks.
