EMPLOYEES from across the world have participated in Doosan Bobcat Community Days, an annual tradition that brings teams together to volunteer in the communities where they live and work.
Staff were mobilised across 23 locations in 12 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South Korea, China, and North America.
Volunteer efforts focused on key impact areas such as parks and recreation, health and wellness, education, environmental sustainability, and safe housing. The company’s workforce participated in a variety of hands-on activities, including around 200 employees working on revitalisation and town facilities improvements in Dobris in the Czech Republic, where Bobcat’s European manufacturing, R&D, testing, and training facilities are based.
“Doosan Bobcat Community Days is about creating meaningful connections — both with one another and with the communities we’re proud to be part of and serve around the world,” said Scott Park, CEO and vice chairman of Doosan Bobcat. “Our employees generously give their time and talents to make a real difference. That spirit of caring is what makes our company — and the communities we call home — stronger.”
In EMEA, over 1,400 hours of employee time were devoted to activities that took place at 11 locations across eight countries, involving around 30 different projects. These included schemes close to the company’s facilities in Pontchateau in France, Halle in Germany, Sint-Niklaas in Belgium, Cardiff in the UK, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa. In many locations, volunteers used Bobcat equipment, such as compact loaders, excavators, compact tractors, and zero-turn mowers to amplify efforts.
“The dedication of our people is truly inspiring,” added Park. “We’re proud to support their efforts to go beyond their day-to-day roles and be part of something bigger. Giving back is a fundamental part of who we are — and when we empower people to accomplish more, we help shape the kind of world we all want to live in.”
