POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of diesel and hydraulic oil from two sites in the Hill of Maud Wood near Buckie.
Between August 15 and August 18, ‘significant’ damage was caused to a welfare unit within the forest. Two barrels of hydraulic oil were taken, as well as diesel from a storage tank.
Constable Bryony Munro saidm “These thefts and damage are being linked and enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Hill of Maud area between these dates and seen anything suspicious to get in touch.”
