George Leslie hosts third annual Innovation Day

GEORGE Leslie has hosted its third annual innovation day bringing together over 400 professionals from across the construction industry to focus on a more sustainable and collaborative future.

The event, held at George Leslie’s headquarters, brought together key organisations such as CMAL, Scottish Water, and SP Energy Networks, alongside a diverse supply chain.

The day-long event showcased the latest technologies and solutions shaping the future of civil engineering, with more than 30 exhibitors covering everything from heavy plant equipment to sustainable workwear.

A central part of the event was a series of ten presentations that explored cutting-edge topics that included Low Carbon 3D Printing, Nature-Based Solutions and 4D Modelling.

David Ross, MD at George Leslie, said, “It was truly inspiring to see everyone who attended our third event. The purpose of the event is simple yet profound: to build a more sustainable industry through innovation and collaboration. We gathered to share our knowledge, to learn from one another and to highlight the positive steps we are all taking.”

The event received strong support from its partners and exhibitors, who praised the opportunity to connect and collaborate.

Majenta said, “Innovation Day is a fantastic platform to showcase how collaboration and digital delivery are driving progress across the infrastructure sectors. It’s inspiring to see George Leslie facilitating this voluntarily to help accelerate the industry, and following the success of the event in 2024, we were delighted to be back exhibiting and presenting again this year.”

Selwood commented, “At the heart of Selwood’s mission is a commitment to doing things better — with smarter tech, more sustainable methods, and meaningful partnerships. By supporting Innovation Day, we are helping to spark new ideas and build the connections shaping the future of our industry.
