SANY puts safety first with enhanced cab designs and EVI innovation

smart fleet and safety management platform

SANY has announced the launch of enhanced cab designs and its integrated EVI (Equipment Visibility Intelligence) system across its range of excavators and telehandlers.

The manufacturer explained that the move reflects its investment in protecting operators, reducing job site risks, and helping customers work smarter, not harder.

The new-generation cabs include a ROPS and FOPS certified structure, reinforced to protect operators from rollovers and falling objects. Other safety features include rear/side or 360 cameras to eliminate blind spots and provide operators with a comprehensive view of the surrounding area. Optional blind spot monitoring and internal driver monitoring system are available as an option.

Additionally, redesigned windows provide a broader field of view, while an ergonomic control layout aims to enhance precision and reduce fatigue-related errors.

A battery disconnect switch protects against theft, battery drain, and electrical fires, and travel alarms and warning beacons have been added to increase visibility and attract attention.

When it comes to SANY’s recently launched range of telehandlers, a load management system monitors the load of the machine to prevent instability and when carrying loads will limit speeds for safety and improved load retention. Also included is a reversing camera with distance sensor, which is automatically activated when the reverse gear is engaged, a safety switch that prevents any vehicle movement when the operator is not seated, and hose burst safety check valves fitted on all lift cylinders stopping collapse in the event of a failure or damage. A 360O camera with BSD and IDMS is also available as an option.

“SANY has always put safety first, and our latest cab upgrades are a direct response to customer feedback and evolving global safety standards,” said Jon Smith, product manager at SANY UK. “Our goal is simple: ensure every operator can work confidently and go home safely.”

Last year, SANY introduced EVI, a smart fleet and safety management platform which is now installed as standard across their range of machines, including electric models. The EVI platform delivers real-time insights and intelligent monitoring tools that help owners to maintain control over their fleet, no matter where it’s located.

With EVI, SANY owners benefit from advanced location tracking, movement alerts, and work overtime notifications, enabling immediate response to potential threats such as theft, unauthorised use, or unexpected activity.
