WACKER Neuson is adding a number of new products to its portfolio this spring.

The manufacturer is extending its line of reversible centre plates with a compaction performance between 52 and 62 kilonewtons, operating widths of 47, 60, and 75cm, and petrol or diesel engines. The new generation of DPU52, DPU62, BPU52 and BPU62 are said to feature ‘optimal’ driving characteristics, guaranteeing ‘smooth and efficient’ work. Auxiliary functions including the LED operating panel and the digital machine control with Bluetooth connectivity, compaction control, telematics, and machine diagnostics are optionally available for the diesel versions.

Wacker Neuson is also introducing a range of new reversible battery-powered vibratory plates with centrifugal forces of 28 and 33 kilonewtons and working widths of 40, 50 and 60cm. The baAPU28 and APU33 plates are described as ‘very easy’ to operate, with the direction of travel changed using the hydraulic adjustment system, just as in conventional models.

The plates are driven by the Battery One battery, which is used in all battery-powered equipment from Wacker Neuson. The push-button start is designed to support easy operation. Due to the low overall height, the plates of the APU series are also suited for use in trench shoring. All plates are equipped with DireX direct drive, which ensures the transfer of power without loss of transmission or friction.

Meanwhile, the e-excavator EZ26e with a 2.6t payload expands the series of fully electric excavators. It is available in two battery sizes – 30 kWh and 39 kWh. The mini-excavator is a zero-tail model designed without rear overhang and is described as ‘ideal’ for work on confined sites or indoors.

Also being launched is the new e-wheel loader WL300e, boasting an operating weight of around 2.5t. There is a total of three fully electric models available from Wacker Neuson for a variety of applications. The WL300e is said to stand out in terms of comfort and safety. The new, optionally available loading system with a lift height of approx. 2.3m increases the tipping load of the machine and enhances the view of the working environment and attachment.

With a new model series WL750, WL950 and WL1150 of wheel loaders, Wacker Neuson said it is providing even greater efficiency and comfort on construction sites. Widened access makes frequent entering and exiting the cab easier, while panoramic front and rear windshields provide an ‘optimal’ all-round view of the working environment.

In terms of dumpers, the DW10 and DW15 models with a payload of 1 and 1.5t are characterised by a variety of safety functions, including seatbelt monitoring with optional start approval. Joystick operation enables the operator to always have one hand on the steering wheel — even while operating the skip – while the hill-hold function prevents the machine from rolling back on slopes as soon as the foot is taken off the gas pedal.
