Star Platforms’ growth plans gather pace with depot expansion

Star Platforms north west depot

POWERED access specialist Star Platforms is doubling the size of its north west operational depot.

The expansion forms part of the firm’s growth strategy and is said to enhance its ability to offer a broader range of powered access platforms while responding more efficiently to customer needs. The larger facility supports increased stock levels and streamlined logistics, with expanded capacity for eight HGVs.

Joint MD Richard Miller said, “Expanding our north west depot is an exciting step for Star Platforms. This investment will allow us to better support our customers and strengthen our reputation as a trusted partner for reliable, safe, and efficient working at height in the region.”

The depot will house a fleet of powered access equipment including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and low-level access platforms. Star Platforms added that it will also feature improved maintenance facilities and a dedicated IPAF training centre with extended internal training space for operator training.

Richard continued, “This spring, we will be hosting a depot open day for both existing and new customers. We also plan to further enhance our services with the introduction of our sister company, Star Power, to the region in the coming months, offering their range of temporary power solutions.”
