CDE has announced the launch of a new vodcast series designed to share insights on industry trends.
The first ‘TalkingTons’ episode aims to highlight topics such as waste recycling, industrial sands, and water management.
Hosted by CDE’s senior marketing manager Lauren McMaster, there will be new episodes every month which will feature specialists from across the firm’s five strategic regions talking about industry issues and opportunities.

In the first episode, Lauren is joined by Eunan Kelly who oversees Europe, Regis Marty who focuses on the French, Belgian and Swiss markets, and Garry Stewart who manages Ireland. The team discuss quarry waste and how the industry has evolved in its view of overburden, scalpings and crushed rock fines, and explore how quarry operators are seeking to process this material to reduce the volume of byproduct that is being stockpiled.
The conversation also spotlights the opportunities the industry has to extend the life of a quarry, and the environmental benefits of processing this material in moving products up the value chain and reducing carbon emissions.
