Volvo to make history with zero-emission-only bauma showcase

VOLVO CE has vowed to make history at bauma 2025 with its first-ever zero-emission-only line-up.

The showcase will feature an exclusive all-electric range and include the worldwide launch of a new zero-emission machine, designed for key industrial segments in the construction industry.

Volvo CE revealed it will also illustrate that conventional diesel options are available to customers for all zero-emission models on display. This multi-technology approach is said to ensure the manufacturer provides solutions that cater to a wide array of customer requirements, wherever they are in their transformation journey.

The bauma stand will represent Volvo’s most extensive product portfolio overhaul in decades. With over 35% of its range renewed in the past 12 months, Volvo CE added that the firm ‘setting the stage for the future of construction equipment’.

At the heart of this experience will be a new interactive Solutions Bar, focused on tailored, data-driven advice and business solutions for customers to unlock new levels of productivity, efficiency, and sustainability.

Highlights on display will include: the first look at the upgraded 23t EC230 electric mid-size excavator; newly launched L120 Electric and L90 Electric wheel loaders; the new EWR150 Electric – the company’s first battery-powered wheeled excavator; the EW240 Electric Material Handler grid-connected excavator; and versatile charging solutions including the PU40 mobile power unit and an upgraded version of the PU500.
